The New Slim Shady is just imitating: MGK’s shady Instagram post exposed.

Eminem’s latest response to Machine Gun Kelly’s ‘Rap Devil’ in the form of his diss track ‘Killshot’, seems to have merely wounded MGK. His latest Instagram post shows him posing in front of a sell-out crowd of his die-hard fans, giving the double finger to his disstrack. The picture (see below) captioned ‘he missed’ #legshot, paints a thousand words; perhaps signifying MGK’s beliefs that Slim Shady's time has come, and he is the new rising star of rap and indeed the ‘rap devil’, trumping the former ‘rap god’ Eminem.

Eminem’s kill shot no match for machine gun.

It is clear that MGK’s track was very popular among his fans and even stans, gaining respect and credibility over his solid effort of dissing one of the greatest rappers of all time. However, it seems that the new Slim Shady is just imitating, as in this instance MGK has used one too many filters, with his Instagram post being brutally exposed online. From the outside his picture paints him as a god, when in reality MGK was a supporting act for a Fall Out Boy concert, tricked the live audience into staging his Instagram picture, and was later booed off stage when he performed his disstrack rap devil. Ouch.

Time will tell whether MGK builds upon his recent exposure and fulfils his claims. However, it is clear that for now, Eminem is still the rap god, with 'kill shot' now outperforming 'rap devil' in the Billboard charts and many arguing it was indeed a killshot to MGK’s career, which is still minor league compared to Eminem, as highlighted in Em's diss "But I'm 45 and I'm still outselling you. By 29, I had three albums that had blew".

Nevertheless, the comparisons between Slim Shady and MGK have been prevalent over recent weeks in both positive and negative respects. Fans have credited MGK’s diss and character in likeness to that of a young Eminem, in Slim Shady. Conversely, others have highlighted (including Eminem) that MGK is merely a wannabe Slim, copying his iconic look, and will never hit the heights of his illustrious career. We are hoping that these comparisons long may continue along with the unfolding beef between these two mc’s.
